DESCRIPTION:Martin Kohlstedt és un compositor pianista i productor alemany les enlluernadores creacions del qual ofereixen un acostament contemporani a la mescla de música clàssica amb estils avantguardistes. Ha col·laborat\, entre altres\, amb Christian Löffler\, Peter Broderick\, Douglas Dare i Sudan Arxivis i ha publicat sis àlbums -l’últim\, “Feld” (2023)-\, una desena de títols més entre singles i EPs i tretze bandes sonores -l’última\, “Grace” (2020)-. Abans d’iniciar la seva carrera en solitari va estudiar art multimèdia en la Bauhaus University Weimar i també va cursar estudis de piano jazzístic i va ser productor de música electrònica. \nEn directe Martin ustilitzaa principalment pianos de cua i verticals en combinació amb un Fender Rhodes i diversos sintetitzadors. A mode d’orientació\, en la ressenya del seu debut londinenc sobre un escenari\, en ‘The Daily Telegraph’ es va indicar que “els seus patrons repetitius i les seves harmonies modals a vegades recorden a músiques que solen descriure’s com a hipnòtiques\, des de Ryuichi Sakamoto fins a Einaudi”. \nMés informació i entrades aquí.

DESCRIPTION:HYPNOTIC BRASS ENSEMBLE és un projecte integrat pels set fills del genial Phil Cohran\, fundador de “Sun Ra Arkestra” i de “Earth\, Wind & Fire”. Resulta obvi indicar qui ha estat la seva influència més gran. A aquest bagatge artístic gairebé connatural\, se sumen les seves experiències i inquietuds pròpies\, que van des del so de les big-bands de New Orleans\, passant pel funk\, l’afrobeat\, i una mica de l’agressivitat del hip-hop a la secció rítmica . Va ser el 2005\, amb l’èxit de vendes del seu segon àlbum\, Júpiter\, amb què comença la seva projecció internacional.
