Dates: 10/10/2024 – 23/02/2025
Disseny Hub Barcelona invites you to the opening of the temporary exhibition L’oceà parla. Noves ecologies i noves economies del mar on October 9, 2024, at 6:30 pm.
Barcelona has always been by the sea, perhaps this is why it has taken it for granted. Now, the climate crisis forces us to give the sea and its ecosystems the attention they deserve.
The exhibition invites reflection on the relationship between the city and the marine element through an interdisciplinary perspective, encompassing architecture, fashion, technology, speculative design, and urbanism. These disciplines are capable of proposing new imaginaries to address the major challenges that coastal societies will face in response to global warming and rising sea levels.
