Gravy Presents: JEMBAA GROOVE LIVE

Jembaa Groove has come a long way. After gaining significant international media support (KEXP, BBC 6, Gilles Peterson, Soulection, WDR, FIP, etc.) with their debut album Susuma in 2022, Jembaa Groove is back with their second studio album Ye Ankasa/We Ourselves.

With their exciting and energetic live performances, they’ve made a name for themselves throughout Europe and beyond. As they take the audience through a blend of precise arrangements and spontaneous improvisation, you better be present when Jembaa Groove takes off, making you float with a mix of dreamy trumpet lines, passionate guitars, and heavenly vocals. They fuse a melting pot of influences into what they consider a contemporary interpretation of Highlife, Jazz, and Soul. The band represents their own new sound, which they see as constantly evolving, as living progressively means keeping your eyes and ears open to everything happening around you at any given moment.
