Small, wide, round, with buttons, with zippers… What do we use pockets for? Do you think they are essential? When we don’t have them, we miss them, don’t we?
This family activity begins with a guided tour of the fashion exhibition The Dressed Body: Silhouettes and Fashion (1550-2015) and invites you to discover when pockets first appeared and the various forms they have taken over time. Afterward, with fabrics, threads, and a lot of skill, you’ll step into the role of fashion designers in a workshop where you’ll create your very own personalized pocket.
