This weekend, from July 5th to 6th, Palo Market Fest honors the culture of hip hop and pays tribute to vinyl. Hip hop, born in the 70s in the Bronx (New York), emerged from the intersection of different African American and Latino communities. It is characterized by its innovation and influence on the history of music, and represents a form of expression, resistance, and unity. Johnny Voltik (MC), Mabreezee (Vocals), Flayaz (Vocals), Diego Ceballero (Guitar), Fran Alducin (Drums), and Tito Bonacera (Machines) will perform as a band, mixing early influences with current references.

To broaden the musical offer, there will be DJs playing a variety of music, from new jazz sounds to disco music and Latin rhythms.

Additionally, a workshop for the whole family will be hosted by Caliopia, where you can learn new paper printing techniques. No registration is required, and you can take your creation home. Saturday and Sunday from 12 PM to 4 PM. More information about this month’s workshop here.
Expanding the artistic offer, at the Art Expo in Palo Alto, you can find the exhibition “Beyond the Screen” by the MAGBa Collective (Barcelona Generative Art Show). Generative art is based on the use of algorithms, code, and autonomous systems to create its works, combining chance and control, programming languages, and artistic sensitivity, inviting the audience to participate and discover new forms of expression.
