BAU offers two scholarships of 50% of the total amount of the Master’s Degree in Design Research for the academic course 2026-27. These contributions aim to encourage, reward, and provide opportunities for designers who want to open up to experimentation and research in the field of design.
The application for the BAU Design Research Talent Scholarship consists of two phases:
Evaluation of the prerequisites and requirements for participation in the call:
Hold a previous official qualification from the disciplines of Design, Fine Arts or Architecture (previous official qualifications in Humanities, Sociology and Anthropology will also be considered, with proof of experience in relation to design and design research through a portfolio).
In the first phase of the call, the scientific committee of the Master’s Degree in Design Research will evaluate all the applications submitted and will select the five candidates who will go on to the second phase.

In the second phase of the call, the scientific committee of the Master’s Degree in Design Research will evaluate the five applications submitted and will select the two successful candidates.
BAU will contact the selected candidates directly in order to proceed to the second phase.
