Open Call for Artistic Research Grants: Barcelona Crea – La Escocesa 2026

La Escocesa is launching an open call aimed at supporting three artistic research and experimentation projects—either individual or collective—to be carried out from April to December 2026. The three selected proposals will each receive a grant of €6,000 (gross). These grants seek to contribute to the city’s cultural and scientific momentum by providing resources for the development of artistic research and innovation processes.

These grants are an initiative of the Xarxa de Fàbriques de Creació, with the support of the Institut de Cultura de Barcelona, to foster the pre-production stages of an initiative: conceptualization, development, research, experimentation, documentation, and rehearsal.

This year, the call continues with the program “Todo Afecta a Todo – Everything Gardens” (everything makes a garden). This concept refers to how every being, element, or system interacts with its environment, modifying or influencing it in some way.

The application period will remain open until March 10 at 11:59 pm.
