Poblenou Urban District at the Cruïlla Festival 2026

From July 8 to 11, Poblenou Urban District was once again part of Cruïlla Arts. For the second consecutive year, we curated the Cruïlla Festival’s visual arts program alongside La Plataforma, shaping a route of installations, interventions, and urban art projects designed to dialogue with the festival space and offer the public an immersive artistic experience.

The proposal brought together mural interventions created by Window Art Circuit (WAC) artists—KST, Medianeras, Plein Jain, and Vale Wilson—as well as a paste-up intervention by Alberto León, dedicated to some of the artists who were part of this edition’s Cruïlla Festival lineup.

The route also included large-scale installations by artists represented by La Plataforma. Aleix Font deployed a large house-shaped structure that invited reflection on the concept of home; Marina Salazar presented a large sculpture inspired by the figure of Venus; Ricard Aymar showed a new installation from his Simbiosi project; and Sonia Toneu created a delicate textile installation activated by the wind, transforming the space through movement.

We would like to thank the Cruïlla Festival team for once again trusting La Plataforma and Poblenou Urban District to shape Cruïlla Arts, and all the people who visited this route and shared four days of art, music, and creativity with us.

See you at the next edition!
