Can Framis Museum presents: L’aire que balla a la boca by Sara Bonache

Next Monday, 26 October at 7 pm, the Fundació Vila Casas presents The Air Dancing in the Mouth, by Sara Bonache, winner of the 2025 Antoni Vila Casas Painting Prize. The exhibition can be visited in the exhibition space integrated into the permanent collection route at the Can Framis Museum.

Through painting and pastel, the artist creates an exuberant visual universe in which the boundaries between the human, animal and plant worlds become blurred. The exhibition invites us to change the way we look at the natural world, uncovering the invisible connections between living beings and questioning humanity’s central position.

Inspired by the way Georgia O’Keeffe transformed the intimate into the monumental, Bonache explores the transformation of forms and the relationships between living beings. The exhibition opens up a space for contemplation, encouraging us to rethink how we perceive and inhabit nature and to imagine more horizontal and interconnected ways of living together.

Furthermore, during the opening, the winner of the 2026 Antoni Vila Casas Photography Prize will be announced. The prize focuses on the creative process behind a work, beyond its finished form, recognising the development of a photographic project. The recipients of this edition’s honourable mentions will also be announced during the event.

In this new phase, the prize has been awarded the good practices seal by the Plataforma Assembleària d’Artistes de Catalunya (PAAC), recognising the Fundació Vila Casas’s commitment to fairer and more dignified working conditions for artists.

In addition, as part of the 48h Open House architecture festival, the Can Framis Museum will be open to visitors on Saturday, 24 October, from 11 am to 6 pm. The festival will offer free guided tours to discover the architecture of the building.
