Culture doesn’t stop, and the Museu Can Framis of the Fundació Vila Casas is no exception. Here are the activities organized by the museum throughout the month of October.
Join a guided tour of the exhibition Sculpture and Power led by the artist himself, Marc Larré, winner of the 2024 Antoni Vila Casas Sculpture Prize. Sculpture and Power explores the three lines of research that have shaped the artist’s work in recent years: the detachment of the sculptural object from its historical ties to power; a critique of the dominance of visuality in the West; and the relationship between art and the possibility (or impossibility) of having an authentic experience.
The exhibition Sculpture and Power will be on view until Sunday, October 26.
The 2nd Young Catalan Architecture Biennial raises the question whether desire, curiosity, and celebration can be tools of active resistance, and examines how to act in a context marked by precariousness, crisis, and fragmentation.
With the participation of Marina Povedano – architect and philosopher, co-curator of the latest edition of the Biennial; Enric Pulido – architect and drag queen, who has participated in numerous festivals and is currently presenting a theater piece at the Grec Festival. He will take part in the discussion as his stage alter ego, Kika Superputa; Frankie Piza – cultural critic and communicator.
