DESCRIPTION:Exhibition focusing on wood as a key material at the service of human cultural evolution\, presenting a broad historical overview leading right up to the present day\, with a large section dedicated to current applications of wood (design applied to construction\, cars\, aeronautics\, textiles\, acoustics\, health\, energy and so on)\, that help to support the planet’s sustainability and which serve as a foundation of the circular bioeconomy. \nConsidered from the design perspective\, the exhibition highlights the wooden objects that have represented a turning point in human life from time immemorial to the 21st century. After a period when wood was replaced by other materials in various areas\, the last few decades have seen a recovery and strengthening of design and architecture in wood as a key tool for maintaining quality of life on the planet and halting the current environmental crisis. \nThe exhibition is part of the programme for the annual conference of the European Forest Institute\, which designated Barcelona as European Forest Capital 2022.

On his return to France\, following a dispute between the playwright Molière and Lully\, Charpentier became the former’s official composer. After the death of Lully\, who had virtually monopolised the tragédie lyrique\, Charpentier embarked on a career as a theatrical composer. Despite this\, one of his best-known works is the Te Deum in D major\, famously used as the initial fanfare for European TV broadcasts. \nCharpentier avoids Lully’s exaggerated pomposity and colourful ornamentation\, and brilliance is combined with introspection in his religious music\, including the Te Deum and the motet In nativitatem Domini canticum for four voices and orchestra\, written in around 1690 when Charpentier was maître de musique at Saint Louis Church in Paris. The latter\, written for a Christmas mass\, unites French and Italian music in a splendid narration of Christ’s advent and birth.

A first feature with a cast and a luxury direction.

DESCRIPTION:In 2015\, he decided to share his songs on Soundcloud under the name nothing\, nowhere. Just two years later\, he released his first album titled Reaper\, whose emo rap sound with electric guitars seduced the prestigious The New York Times\, which defined it as “one of the most promising works of 2017”. In fact\, Jon Caramanica\, the newspaper’s music critic\, chose Reaper as the best album of the year. \nIn April 2018\, the artist\, who declares himself a vegan and avoids alcohol and drugs\, would release his second album Ruiner. This LP includes hits such as ‘hammer’\, which has more than 44 million plays on Spotify and almost 8 million views on YouTube. \nFor his latest release Trauma Factory\, Mulherin wrote almost 100 songs and kept the 15 best ones. He refused to set rules about what kind of sound he should follow: “The sound is for other people to define. For me\, it’s experimental. That doesn’t mean it’s avant-garde or harsh noise music\, but if I don’t experiment\, I don’t feel satisfied internally.”\nThe result is an album rich in variation: “I didn’t care if one song didn’t sound like another. I’m just making songs that I put in a bag and give to people.” \n
