DESCRIPTION:Exhibition focusing on wood as a key material at the service of human cultural evolution\, presenting a broad historical overview leading right up to the present day\, with a large section dedicated to current applications of wood (design applied to construction\, cars\, aeronautics\, textiles\, acoustics\, health\, energy and so on)\, that help to support the planet’s sustainability and which serve as a foundation of the circular bioeconomy. \nConsidered from the design perspective\, the exhibition highlights the wooden objects that have represented a turning point in human life from time immemorial to the 21st century. After a period when wood was replaced by other materials in various areas\, the last few decades have seen a recovery and strengthening of design and architecture in wood as a key tool for maintaining quality of life on the planet and halting the current environmental crisis. \nThe exhibition is part of the programme for the annual conference of the European Forest Institute\, which designated Barcelona as European Forest Capital 2022.

Pascual-Vilaplana\, conductor\n\n\n\nPROGRAM\n\n\nGeorge Gershwin became one of the most famous composers of his time in the United States. The fresh\, light-hearted\, popular style of music he wrote connected with American society in the “Roaring Twenties” of the last century. The second part of the programme includes a miscellany of the composer’s best known works. First\, we hear the suite for band and piano by Albert Guinovart\, in which he also plays as soloist\, and then a collection of fragments from the opera Porgy and Bess\, still one of his most popular works\, which includes the unforgettable lullaby Summertime. Guinovart also performs the Piano Concerto in F\, a sensual\, suggestive score that transports us to the New York of jazz\, blues and music that is still familiar to us a hundred years later.

With this farce in three acts\, between the Ubu of Jarry\, the absurd humor of Ionesco\, the brothers Marx and Monty Python\, the journalist and theater critic Santi Fondevila is presented as a dramatic author. A first feature with a cast and a luxury direction.

A game between life and theater; lies and truth. \nTwo old clowns with little grace. Two children lost in themselves\, the transgression of art and success. A family of minstrels who understand each other more by putting on masks than by looking each other in the eye. Engaged in creating a show. The latest show? \nThis show is part of the cycle La família (or la família?)\, a proposal to reflect on the concept of the family from different perspectives: imaginaries\, relationships\, vulnerabilities\, social structures\, the working world\, senses\, emotions… \n
