DESCRIPTION:Art Photo Bcn reaches its ninth edition thanks to A-FAD\, with a new venue at Disseny Hub Barcelona. From 8 to 11 September in the building that is the reference point for the enhancement and projection of cultural industries\, as well as being the headquarters of the association. \nThe event will feature a new fair concept with the participation of 18 exhibitors presenting a single project\, curated by Vicenç Boned. The Carles Taché Gallery will be taking part\, as well as other local\, national and international galleries\, bringing new perspectives to the creative sector. \nThe Disseny Hub will also host the Photobook Market\, presenting publishers and authors who make the photobook their main medium. Among the participants\, we highlight the involvement of Eva Blanes\, partner of A-FAD\, who will present her creative dimension related to the world of publishing and self-publishing. \nSpace F will not only be the meeting point for galleries and publishers\, but professionals from the sector will be able to exchange ideas\, network and promote their proposals through the presentations of works in a work in progress atmosphere\, workshops given by professionals from the sector and viewings in which new photographers will share their projects\, as well as competing for the various prizes. Outside the Design Hub Barcelona\, the festival expands through the associated venues of the Barcelona Civic Centre Network\, making photography visible throughout the city.

DESCRIPTION:30 years of transformation of Poblenou with a brush by the artist Neus Martin Royo \nThe realist painter Neus Martín Royo shows the transformation of Poblenou into a great anthology with 130 works distributed in four venues in the neighbourhood. \nPalo Alto Barcelona is one of the venues that will host works from the last thirty years by the artist Neus Martin Royo\, accompanied by historical documentation and photographs that x-ray the transformation of our neighbourhood. \nFor many years the Neus Martín Royo has portrayed Palo Alto\, its interior\, exterior and its life. Now is a unique time to enjoy art\, but also to enjoy our history. \nThe exhibition will occupy two rooms in Palo Alto: Room XYZ\, one of the oldest on the premises\, which will house works on the train\, the sea and the beach\, large-format hybrid paintings with old photographs that show the transformation of the coastline. The Sala Escoleta will feature works on the Palo Alto garden and the Gasometer.

On this occasion\, the Cosmos Quartet will perform the String Quartet No. 1\, Op. 33 (1781) and the String Quartet No. 1\, Op. 76 (1797)\, composed almost twenty years apart. \nHaydn’s String Quartets\, Op. 33\, are known as the “Russian Quartets” because they were dedicated to the Grand Duke of Russia\, future Tsar Paul I. The quartets are full of irony and wit. At the beginning of the first quartet\, Haydn plays with ambiguity\, letting the audience guess if it is written in D major or in B minor. \nThe String Quartets\, Op. 76 are one of the last works that Haydn composed\, when he was already extremely old. Dedicated to Count Erdődy\, the first quartet of this series\, written in G major\, begins with three chords in tutti that are especially well-known and is structured in four movements\, three of which are in sonata form. Again\, Haydn oscillates between major and minor tones and\, in fact\, begins the last movement in G minor.
