DESCRIPTION:Every year the city of Barcelona selects a contemporary artist to design the poster for the festival.  Artists such as Albert Ràfols-Casamada (1981)\, Antoni Clavé (1996)\, Antoni Tàpies (2002) and Francesc Artigau (2011) all produced posters for previous years’ festivals. The Can Framis Museum of Contemporary Painting houses works by many artists who have designed posters for the Mercè festival\, and to mark the occasion a family visit will view some of the pieces in the museum’s collection relating to the festival posters. \nAfter looking at how they were made and the materials used\, the children in the group will design their own Mercè festival posters\, inspired by the artistic techniques they encounter in the museum’s galleries. \n  \nMinimum recommended age: 5 years old. \nThe Foundation reserves the right to cancel the activity if the minimum number of participants (4 children) is not reached. \nReservation required

The show will run from September 26 to October 27. \n  \nÁnima\, the Grand Musical at the TNCThe animation film industry of the major North American studios in the late 1930s serves as the backdrop and starting point to tell a story of perseverance and the fight of women to prove they deserved a place that\, until then\, had been reserved only for men. \nAn excellent score and libretto are in the hands of a young\, talented team for the creation of this new large-format musical\, in Catalan\, which will open the TNC season in the Sala Grande. \n  \nFor more information and ticket sales\, click here.
