From July 7 to 10, aparto Cristóbal de Moura hosted the international participants of the annual training meeting of Fabulamundi. Playwriting Europe, a renowned European project dedicated to promoting contemporary playwriting. Their stay at the residence was part of an enriching cultural and educational experience that brought together young writers and theatre professionals from eleven different countries in Barcelona.
The event, held at Sala Beckett as part of the Obrador d’Estiu, marked the conclusion of the fourth edition of the project, titled New Voices, which focused on bringing playwriting closer to new generations. Over the past two years, Fabulamundi has organized workshops, showcases, and meetings with experts in several European cities, aiming to strengthen the connection between young creators and the world of contemporary drama.
During their stay, participants found in aparto Cristóbal de Moura much more than just a place to stay: an environment that inspires, encourages cultural exchange, and fosters connection with the local community. Initiatives like this reinforce aparto’s commitment to the cultural and educational ecosystem of the Creative District, where innovation and creativity are part of everyday life. This collaboration strengthens aparto’s role as a space open to the neighborhood, the city, and the free flow of ideas. Projects like Fabulamundi help position Poblenou as a dynamic area closely linked to the performing arts, and aparto as a meeting point between the student community, culture, and international education.
