Art 1 hour

Art and yoga at the Museu Can Framis

This April, the Museu Can Framis presents a program of activities combining art and wellbeing.

Guided visits to the exhibition Un gran fracàs de Gonçal Sobrer:

Gonçal Sobrer’s work articulates critique through multiple languages, such as painting, objects, installations, happenings, and performances, with a critical gaze almost always rooted in Poblenou. A neighborhood that Sobrer has mythified and transformed into a powerful contemporary political metaphor, where the local is projected as universal.

The exhibition, curated by Pere Pedrals, brings together nearly two hundred works, many of them previously unseen, and traces his production from the 1960s to the present. The show aims to affirm Gonçal Sobrer as a fully relevant, necessary, and challenging artist.

Dates:
Wednesday, April 8, 6:30 PM, with curator Pere Pedrals
Saturday, April 11, 12 PM
Wednesday, April 22, 12 PM

Yoga and mindfulness sessions: From red to violet

A journey through the 7 chakras using the archetypes of yoga and contemporary art. A program inspired by the philosophy of yoga, which uses color as a threshold for yogic archetypes, serving as an inner symbolic map for an approach integrating art, health, and introspection.

The session combines gentle yoga, artistic contemplation, and a creative practice, offering a meaningful experience of self-knowledge, connection, transformation, and inner wellbeing in front of a work of art.

Date: April 18, 11:30 AM to 2 PM
