Discover the initiatives of Poblenou Urban District at the Cruïlla Festival

The Cruïlla Festival returns this July to celebrate its 15th edition, strengthening its bond with Barcelona. In addition to music and comedy, the festival is also committed to showcasing art as one of its main attractions. With the Cruïlla Arts program, the festival will become a showcase for the most innovative artistic proposals.

Poblenou Urban District will present several proposals for Cruïlla Arts: one of the main highlights of the art program will be a 36 m² linear exhibition featuring emerging artists who took part in the 10th edition of the Windows Art Circuit (WAC), the art circuit that allows the public to witness the entire process of mural creation live. Beyond its exhibition format, WAC has become a platform that boosts emerging talent, creating opportunities and encouraging artists’ participation in new cultural projects and events. The guest artists for this edition are KST, RICE, Juani Bengali, and Antón Seoane. In this space, Poblenou Urban District will also host the PangoiCO collective, a guest artist from the Gargar Festival, with their project “Refranys il·lustrats” (Illustrated Sayings).

In addition, established artists from the WAC / Windows Art Circuit—Sonia Toneu, Aleix Font, and Domini—will create a collaborative mural on the ground, serving as a visual guide for navigating between stages. Furthermore, Asis Percales and Geco will create a large-scale mural and a collective photo call installation in which the audience can actively participate.

This year, El Dios de los Tres will arrive at Cruïlla Festival to leave his mark with a volumetric art installation that promises to be as surprising as his creative universe. A burst of color, symbolism, and energy will bring to life a unique, vibrant piece full of personality.

Visitors will also be able to explore the light installation created by Poblenou Urban District in collaboration with Lluria, aimed at highlighting the connection between artists and the neighborhood.

See you at Cruïlla Festival from July 9th to 12th!
