The DHub hosts the exhibition ‘Llotja 250. Formar, idear, crear’

From April 30 to July 6, Llotja 250. Formar, idear, crear will be on view at Disseny Hub Barcelona (DHub), an exhibition commemorating the 250-year history of Escola d’Art i Disseny Llotja, the first design school in Spain.

To mark the anniversary of its founding, the exhibition presents a journey through the trajectory of this institution since its creation in 1775, paying tribute to the generations of students, teachers, and professionals who have made it a cornerstone of the country’s arts and design scene.

The exhibition offers a window into the history of the Escola, from its beginnings as a training center for workers in Barcelona’s textile printing industries, to its current status as a leading educational institution in fine arts, applied arts, and design.

Exploring the unique path of Escola Llotja provides insight into over two hundred years of creative activity and reveals one of the richest and most fascinating periods in our recent history.
