Llum BCN returns from February 6 to 8! These are the Creative District spaces taking part:
Tábula: a light installation about solitude and encounter, LCI Barcelona:
The installation proposes a space for emotional pause in a world saturated with stimuli. The table, a universal symbol of gathering, becomes a place to reconnect with oneself and with others.
Next Nature II, Rotor Studio (Ángeles Angulo, Román Torre):
A projected virtual waterfall invites the audience to reflect on the relationship between the body, technology, and nature, transforming the urban space into a stage of balance and serenity.
Fremor, Marc Vilanova:
An installation that makes the inaudible visible, revealing the subterranean noise pollution that silently inhabits beneath the city.
La Espalda del Mundo | Relingo, UPC-CCCB Master’s in Design and Production of Spaces:
The installation invites the public to bring to life the geographic residue between the TNC and the Encants through shadows projected onto the theatre’s façade.
Serres, Cabosanroque:
A mountain range of light slowly moves to evoke geological time and the tectonic movement of mountains.
Aquesta Nit, Albert Serra:
The director brings his singular cinematic language to the DHUB façade. Rarefied atmospheres, the plastic treatment of light, the night as a source of mystery, and human presence as the emotional core structure the proposal.
Al voltant, Gracias Grecia:
A six-metre-diameter inflatable ring illuminated from the inside, featuring an interactive device that encourages participation and play.
Inspired in Barcelona: Luce, Stefano Colli and Carles Novell:
Explores creativity and lighting design through different types of luminaires and self-produced lighting projects.
POSTMACHINA, Clàudia Raurell:
The installation transforms the repetitive and sequential movement of textile production into a light vibration that turns mechanical time into perceptual time, revealing the hidden rhythm of collective work.
Fabric Maze, Istituto Europeo di Design (IED) Barcelona:
In this space, configured as a labyrinth of translucent fabrics, light, shadows, and movement, a sensory landscape is created that evokes an almost unreal atmosphere.
Clàvia:
Metallic roots with organic forms emerge from the underground like a living network that symbolizes the invisible bond linking the industrial past, social memory, and present-day life in Poblenou. It can be visited at Passatge de Ratés.
UNDERLIGHT:
A network of screens shows the underground journey of a small robot traveling through the sewer system, inviting the public to explore what lies beneath their feet and to rediscover the city from within. It can be visited at C/ de Castella, 4 (Square).
