The Fundació Carulla is co-organizing a new grant supporting artistic creation as part of the Festival Escena Poblenou. Al Poblenou fem performances aims to promote collaborative artistic practices and foster processes that bring contemporary arts closer to the residents of Poblenou. The open call will remain available until April 6.
The grant is aimed at artists or professional collectives working in visual arts, performing arts, or multidisciplinary practices who wish to develop a co-creation project with Poblenou residents. Proposals must outline an artistic process in dialogue with the local territory and with the intention of involving communities and social or cultural organizations in the neighborhood. The goal is not only to support the creation of an individual artwork but also to generate community-based processes rooted in the area, creating new connections among its inhabitants.
The selected project will receive financial support of €6,000, as well as access to creation and rehearsal spaces at Centre Cívic Can Felipa and the Fundació Carulla. In addition, the selected artist or collective will receive professional mentoring from the organizing institutions throughout the different stages of the process.
The chosen proposal will be presented during the 25th Festival Escena Poblenou, taking place from October 22 to 25, 2026. Afterwards, it will become part of the Escenaris de Llum program of the Fundació Carulla, scheduled for April 2027.
