The Carulla Foundation opens the call for the Lluís Carulla Award 2026

The Carulla Foundation has launched a new edition of the Lluís Carulla Award, a cultural entrepreneurship program that supports transformative cultural projects and ideas aimed at improving Catalan society. Applications can be submitted until 13 January 2026.

With a total endowment of €100,000, the award recognizes two projects: €60,000 for the Best Transformative Cultural Project and €25,000 for the Best Transformative Cultural Idea. In addition, the winners will receive an impact assessment study valued at €15,000 and personalized mentoring over two years within the Mutare community of the Carulla Foundation.

The program is structured in four phases:

The Academy, offering Mutare workshops on culture and social transformation, creativity, and impact evaluation.

Incubation phase, providing mentoring and support to ensure the projects’ cultural and economic viability.

Award ceremony, scheduled for autumn 2026.

Expansion phase, including follow-up and a residency within Mutare.

The Lluís Carulla Award is aimed at initiatives that address social challenges through culture and the arts, promoting citizen participation, co-creation, sustainability, and innovation. Proposals may come from fields such as the arts, education, technology, social mediation, or the environment.
