La Plataforma opens The Greatest Show on Earth (and Other Lies) by Nathalie Rey and Ece Haskan

On October 16, 2025, La Plataforma Art Gallery will open The Greatest Show on Earth (and Other Lies), the exhibition by artists Nathalie Rey and Ece Haskan, which will be on view until November 20.

Following their successful collaboration in 2023 at Offgrid Art Space in Istanbul, Rey and Haskan reunite to transform the gallery into a surreal carnival where illusion, play, and ritual become tools for reflection. Drawing inspiration from the aesthetics of fairs and popular spectacles, the artists offer an immersive experience in which bright lights conceal darker truths and prizes are mere mirages.

Among the highlights is Nathalie Rey’s monumental installation Rabbits which subvert childhood fantasies into a critique of consumption and hyperreality. Haskan, meanwhile, uses the human body as a symbolic stage to explore the relationship between faith, authority, and power, presenting images that are both playful and unsettling.

The artists invite the audience to look beyond appearances and step into the “great spectacle of life,” where everyone is a player, a target, and perhaps even a prize.
