La Plataforma presents The Soft Collapse, by Per Henrik Adolfsson

Next Thursday, September 18, from 19h to 21h La Paltaforma presents the opening of the exhibition The Soft Collapse, by Per Henrik Adolfsson.

Adolfsson (Sweden, 1984) is a multidisciplinary artist who lives and works in Barcelona. His collaboration between La Plataforma began in 2015, and since then he has presented expositions in the gallery multiple times, including Coup de Grâce (2016) and The Tramuntana (2019).

The Soft Collapse emerged from an intuitive process rather than a defined concept. Guided by instinct and emotion, the series traces the experience of unravelings, subtle griefs, and maintaining balance in the midst of uncertainty or when things feel like they are slowly falling apart. The work engages with dualities—control and chaos, clarity and ambiguity. Within these tensions lies a rawness and vulnerability that reflect the contradictions of being human.

Painted primarily in gouache, the series draws from dreams, fragmented memory, shifting identity, and symbolism, weaving them into a visual language that is both personal and open-ended. The Soft Collapse does not seek resolution. Instead, it invites viewers to sit with uncertainty, to reflect on resilience, and to find personal resonance within the space the work holds.

The opening will be a very special event, with the presence of the artist.

You can visit The Soft Collapse until Octoberr 13.
