As part of Cruïlla Arts 2025, Poblenou Urban District presented an artistic proposal that highlights the role of emerging art and creativity as key cultural drivers of Barcelona.
At the heart of our participation was a large 36 m² mural created over the four days of the festival by KST, RICE, Juani Bengali, and Antón Seoane—artists from the 10th edition of the Windows Art Circuit / WAC. Four personal perspectives that brought Poblenou’s creative energy right into the core of the festival. As special guests invited by the Gargar Festival, the collective PangoiCO presented their project “Illustrated Sayings”, a visual proposal that bridges popular culture and graphic art.
The Windows Art Circuit / WAC, now firmly established as a platform for emerging talent, also featured contributions from renowned artists such as Sònia Toneu, Aleix Font, and Domini, who collaborated on a ground mural marking the festival routes. Other highlights included the giant head figures and interactive photocall by Asis Percales and Geco, designed to invite the public to engage with the artworks. One of the major surprises of this edition was the striking volumetric piece by El Dios de los Tres, which captivated visitors with its explosion of colour and symbolism. In addition, the light installation “No Artists, No Creative District”, developed in collaboration with Lluria, drew attention to the essential role of artists within the Poblenou neighbourhood and its creative ecosystem.
Cruïlla Arts 2025 reaffirmed the Association’s role as a key player in Barcelona’s cultural and creative landscape. We would like to thank the Cruïlla Festival for their trust and for making us part of their 15th anniversary celebration.
