First Day of Cruïlla Festival: Art, Music and Creativity Take Over

Yesterday marked the first day of Cruïlla Arts, the artistic side of the Cruïlla Festival, which this July celebrates its 15th edition. For four days, the Parc del Fòrum becomes a creative space where art blends with music and comedy, strengthening the festival’s connection with the city of Barcelona.

Poblenou Urban District returns with a powerful proposal: a 36 m² exhibition space showcasing emerging talent from the Windows Art Circuit (WAC), featuring works by KST, RICE, Juani Bengali, and Antón Seoane. In addition, the collective PangoiCO, guest artist from the Gargar Festival, presents its project “Refranys il·lustrats”.

Consolidated WAC artists such as Sonia Toneu, Aleix Font, and Domini are also participating, creating a joint ground mural to guide festivalgoers between stages. Meanwhile, Asis Percales and Geco have designed giant papier-mâché heads and a collective photocall for the public to interact with.

The festival also features the light installation “No Artists, No Creative District”, created by Poblenou Urban District in collaboration with Lluria, which highlights the role of artists in the cultural fabric of the neighborhood.

One of the most anticipated surprises is the intervention by El Dios de los Tres, who brings a volumetric art piece full of colour, symbolism, and vibrant energy to Cruïlla.

There are still three more days of festival — and plenty of art left to discover!
