Sala Beckett

By La Segona Millor company, based on Lettres by Bernard-Marie Koltès

Bernard-Marie Koltès wrote many letters throughout his life, and his brother François posthumously compiled them in the book Lettres. Using this document as a starting point, El meu germà, Bernard is a poetic and multidisciplinary tribute to the figure of this great 20th-century playwright, who died prematurely from AIDS in 1989, just as he was becoming a major reference in European dramaturgy.

By Berta Prieto

Thanks to the cinematic work of Ximena White —a modern, feminist screenwriter and director— we learn the story of Paula Miró, a cyberactivist who in 2024 began her personal transition toward an unstoppable process of self-dumbing-down. To stop suffering: the dumber, the better.

By Mos Maiorum and Joan Yago

A stage proposal based on the life of Joan Garcia Oliver, a key figure in the Catalan libertarian movement and Spanish politics in the early 20th century. De Paco Zarzoso.

By Paco Zarzoso

It’s winter, and He and She, a middle-aged couple, are excited to spend a few days at their mountain retreat. But when they arrive, they discover that their best friends, whom they had invited to enjoy the house a few days earlier, have left it without firewood, with empty gas canisters, not a single bottle of wine, no pinecones to start a fire, and garbage that hasn’t been taken out. To top it off, the bedroom door won’t open. At this point, this poetic and hilarious tragicomedy takes a surprising turn.
From 12/11 to 30/11/25

A show-celebration of Franco’s death by Eduard Olesti with texts by Mercè Rodoreda, Joan Sales, and Blai Bonet

If there’s one thing dictators are good at, it’s dying. Ours took too long, but he managed —no doctor can fix a mortal illness. Fracaso Renal Agudo: nothing more poetic than the death of a tyrant. This show moves between the solemnity deserved by the spirits we will invoke and the carnivalesque humor a festivity like this demands. It will be a show that ends in a party, where we’ll once again pull the cava from the fridge. We’ll celebrate that on November 20, 2025, it will be exactly 50 years since Francisco Franco’s potato stopped beating.

By Col·lectiu Las Huecas

In a game of mirrors and identity-splitting, Las Huecas explore their own friendship through an autofiction exercise that breaks open theatrical conventions, metatheatre codes and, ultimately, delirium. This is a comic piece about mistakes, impossibilities, and the persistence of friendly practice —as well as a love song to theatre as a form of escape, release, or redemption.
From 17/12/25 to 04/01/26

Teatre Nacional de Catalunya

La filla de l’aire travels from present to past through the story of dance star Roseta Mauri —from her early days in Reus and Barcelona to becoming principal dancer of the Paris Opera and muse to painters like Degas or Manet, composer Léo Delibes, and French culture minister Antonin Proust. A life of passion, effort, sacrifice and great achievements in a hostile world, where the extraordinary is always possible.

By Josep Maria de Sagarra, directed and composed by Xavier Albertí

Violence against women’s bodies, fatherhood, and the possibility of redemption all converge in this beautiful verse-based piece by Sagarra.
