Visit Art Photo BCN from June 6th, do not miss themust-see event with photography

From June 6 to 9 you have an appointment with the photography of the city of Barcelona at the Disseny Hub space with a proposal that synthesizes the fair, the photobook market, activities, workshops and viewings to reflect the good health of the medium in its most creative, permeable and varied field. Photography is placed at the service of art from perspectives and processes as varied as only this medium, between technology and craftsmanship, is capable of summoning.

In this eleventh edition of Art Photo Bcn the Fair section has selected 20 exhibitors which concentrate an international vision with a large representation of the city of Barcelona. Among the regular galleries Carles Taché with Luis Baylón and the proposal of Valid Foto with Marco Àvila Català stand out. Among the novelties we find the participation of galleries with an outstanding trajectory such as ADN Galería with María María Acha-Kutscher, Pigmento Gallery with Marta Fàbregas and Imaginart with Rada Akbar. As a young gallery in the city of Barcelona, the proposal of AlTiba9 stands out with the images of Karen Gosthlaw. And moving away from the urban epicenter, Artemisia, Art & Trends from Las Franquezas with Guillermo De Angelis will be presented for the first time.

Specialized schools in Barcelona such as El Observatorio show us the collective work of Las Figas; the IEFC, the oldest photography school in the peninsula, supports new creativity through the work of its student Lara Castañeda Zambrano; and from LCI Barcelona, one of the largest study centers for design, visual arts and photography, they propose the work of Blai Martí, Amadeu del Rio, Luca Pagliari and Alicia Nieto.

The Photobook Market Arte Photo Bcn section stands out for its diversity of proposals:

It will take shape on Saturday 8 and Sunday 9 June. Among the proposals there are publishing houses that repeat, as now Ediciones Posibles or La Kòsmika and others are incorporated as Ediciones Anómalas or Maria Inc. We have collectives such as Can Grapas, Mitmaq_*ediciones, Faczine or oBSESIÓN, which will bring photobooks and fanzines, but also who self-publishes, as Bea Janer, Gil Garriga, Marco Javierre, Inma Barrio or Rocío Madrid. This year there will again be space for participatory photography in some of the tables, such as those that will occupy the INSTITUTO 8 or La Mirada Creadora (Editorial). Jiser Reflexiones Mediterráneas, an association that works to promote art as a means of social transformation, will also be back.

Another novelty of this edition of the Photobook Market is the presence of schools that propose a selection of publications and emerging artists, such as Agora, Serra y Abeja or the University of Navarra. And also incorporated magazines that revolve around photography, such as HARPOmag or INVERNADERO.
