ProtoPixel<\/b>,<\/span> the professional lighting design platform for<\/span> companies, institutions, establishments and leisure, located in<\/span> Barcelona’s Creative District<\/b>, has just presented two lighting<\/span> p<\/span>rojects with state-of-the-art technology in which it has taken part,<\/span> which confirm its professional quality as a benchmark company in<\/span> the sector, providing space for projects with a functional and<\/span> emotional character.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

At first, the Poblenou-based company was commissioned by <\/span>The<\/b> Core School<\/b>, a Madrid-based educational center of international<\/span> reference for professionals within the leisure and audiovisual<\/span> entertainment industry, to develop a project with an installation that<\/span> would incorporate a <\/span>functional character.\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n

In mid-2021, Ignasi Llaurad\u00f3, CEO and Creative Director of the<\/span> deardesign studio, contacted ProtoPixel with the aim of illuminating<\/span> and animating the school’s atrium in a functional, dynamic and<\/span> youthful way.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The main goal of the project was to find the best way to achieve<\/span> functional lighting without losing the energy of the youngest.<\/span> Therefore, with the help ofardesign, they created 6 different lighting<\/span> contents through ProtoPixel Create, their lighting design software.<\/span><\/p>\n

Each of them achieves a unique and singular atmosphere for each<\/span> moment of the students’ journey.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

To achieve the full experience of managing luminaires like a<\/span> p<\/span>rofessional, they worked with the ProtoPixel Spaces app, which<\/span> allows everyday users to easily organize and control lighting<\/span> p<\/span>rojects. Thanks to it, different environments can be easily changed<\/span> according to the different needs of the school.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The more emotional side, in which Protopixel has been involved<\/span> lately, came with the project Vestivular_1, an immersive,<\/span> experiential and artistic audiovisual installation.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Esta instalaci\u00f3n induce a la audiencia sensaciones ilusorias de<\/span> movimiento propio en completa oscuridad mediante la interrupci\u00f3n<\/span> temporal de su funcionamiento vestibular. Relacionado con el<\/span> equilibrio y el control espacial, el sistema vestibular se encuentra<\/span> ubicado en la oreja interna del ser humano.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

This installation induces illusory sensations of self-motion in<\/span> complete darkness by temporarily interrupting the audience’s<\/span> vestibular functioning. Related to balance and spatial control, the<\/span> vestibular system is located in the inner ear of the human being.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

These illusory sensations of movement are achieved through<\/span> p<\/span>owerful specific patterns and configurations of light and sound<\/span> stimulus that, in the dark, persist in the retina and auditory system.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The work of Albert Barqu\u00e9-Duran and Marc Marzenitm is a BEEP<\/span> Collection 2020 production based on the investigation developed by<\/span> Laboratorio VeME (Vestibular multisensory direction), from the<\/span><\/p>\n

London University, and can be seen on the next <\/span>November 18th<\/b> at Cosmo Caixa.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
