BAU, University Center of Arts and Design, is participating in the 15th edition of the contemporary art biennial with projects by master’s instructors and students from its two undergraduate programs<\/b><\/p>\n

This edition will showcase various works by BAU professors. The artistic duo Leafhopper Project, formed by Blanca Galindo and David Sim\u00f3n Martret, master’s instructors, will open the photography exhibition <\/span>El gran mantell<\/span><\/i>, which revives the essence of “ready-made” to address the ecosystem and the human impact on it. Gabriel Ventura, a professor in the Design degree program, and Rosa Tharrats will present the joint performance <\/span>El riu era verd i blau i groc<\/span><\/i>, focusing on the restoration of the Bes\u00f3s River ecosystem, once one of the most polluted in Europe.<\/span><\/p>\n

The multimedia installation <\/span>Somoure<\/span><\/i> by M\u00f3nica Riki\u0107, coordinator of the Master’s in Audiovisual Innovation and Interactive Environments, explores the means of production and social impact of assistive robotics. Additionally, Ariadna Guiteras, a Fine Arts professor, collaborates with the Diversorium project, which, alongside Jaume Ferrete, also a professor of Fine Arts, organized a pre-biennial event this past April.<\/span><\/p>\n

Manifesta, the European Nomadic Biennial, celebrates its 15th edition in the metropolitan area of Barcelona from September 8 to November 24, 2024. Aiming to decentralize cultural activity, the program includes projects, events, and talks in 12 cities, with over 90 local and international participants.<\/span><\/p>\n
