Applications Open for IAAC Global Summer School 2015<\/h1>\n

The 2015 \u2018Urban Protocols<\/a>\u2019\u00a0global\u00a0agenda<\/strong>\u00a0seeks\u00a0specific strategies for constructing our future cities<\/strong>. \u00a0The agenda questions the urban planning methodologies of the 20th century and proposes a series of\u00a0new priorities<\/strong>\u00a0to consider when growing the\u00a0next phase of our urban and suburban territories<\/strong>. \u00a0How can we consider the recolonization of urban spaces which are now the result of antiquated priorities and at the same time negotiate the current forces driving the growth or decay of cities?<\/p>\n

This question will be asked in a variety of urban case studies with the desire to\u00a0generate a series of proposals which are contextually, temporally, economically, and culturally relevant<\/strong>. \u00a0From another scale, we have to recognize the urgent necessity to radically rethink the manner in which we fabricate our habitat at an architectural level. Spatially we have to\u00a0reconsider materiality, tectonic logics, and temporality<\/strong>\u00a0if we are to\u00a0change the relationship between environmental decay and architecture<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

IAAC<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0is a cutting edge education and research centre dedicated to the development of an architecture capable of meeting the worldwide challenges.<\/p>\n
