Load Gallery<\/a> presents Let\u2019s Slow Down Time Together<\/em><\/a><\/strong>, the first European solo exhibition by Yatreda \u12eb\u1325\u122c\u12f3, a family-based collective of artists from Ethiopia founded by Kyia Tadele. The exhibition will be on view from December 18 to February 14.<\/strong><\/p>\n

In just four years, Yatreda \u12eb\u1325\u122c\u12f3 has forged an extraordinary artistic trajectory. They have developed their practice in a self-taught manner: they built their own filming system for Strong Hair<\/em> and handcraft many of the costumes and historical decorative elements that appear in their videos. Even so, the final result possesses the precision and depth of a production studio, with a visually striking impact marked by strong technical rigor and emotional intensity. Rooted in tizita<\/em>, a profound sense of nostalgia for the past, their practice combines childhood memories, oral histories, and traditional tales with the rich heritage and central legends of contemporary Ethiopian identity, inviting viewers to reflect on the cyclical nature of history.<\/p>\n

With Let\u2019s Slow Down Time Together<\/em><\/strong>, Load presents a journey through the work of Yatreda \u12eb\u1325\u122c\u12f3, offering insights into their unique approach to video art and the expanding possibilities of storytelling in digital art.<\/p>\n

The gallery will be open during its regular hours, from Thursday to Saturday, 4 pm to 8 pm.<\/strong><\/p>\n
