DESCRIPTION:En el momento de escribir esta Sonata para violín y piano\, Schubert se había hecho un lugar en el mundo musical vienés como compositor sinfónico y de lieder. A pesar de todo\, la música de cámara siempre formó parte de la práctica musical cotidiana\, en familia y entre amigos. Esta sonata es muy personal\, ya lejos de la influencia de su admirado Mozart\, y tiene un grado de dificultad técnica superior a las sonatas anteriores para violín. De forma similar\, la última Sonata para violín de Johannes Brahms\, en cuatro movimientos y dedicada a Hans von Bülow\, es extremadamente concisa y dramática\, en contraste con las anteriores y en consonancia con otras obras de la misma época. Escrita casi un siglo antes\, la sonata de Beethoven dedicada a Rodolphe Kreutzer —que nunca tocó— ha inspirado novelas\, cuadros y sinfonías. Una obra inusual tanto por la exigencia técnica de la parte de violín como por la diversidad de afectos y emociones que recorre\, entre la furia\, la contemplación y la alegría final.
