The Windows Art Circuit (WAC) is one of the flagship events of Poblenou Urban District. It is a circuit that allows the public to experience live the complete process of mural art creation on non-conventional surfaces, reclaiming the streets and transforming unused spaces into areas of high cultural value. In this edition, we will enjoy the work of more than twenty specially selected artists who work across different disciplines such as photography, illustration, painting, and mural art.
Saturday, May 4
Onair Barcelona
Onair will host two artists from the WAC circuit. Creto presents “Together on the Road”, where two worlds meet in distant places, far from home, family, and friends. Unknown worlds, previously unexplored, rich in ideas and thoughts, united through the art of painting and making music. A friendship emerges between two children who carry their home, memories, and stories on their backs. In addition, Tim Marsh will intervene on the door of the dance school during the morning.
Pere IV, 99
At MIETIS, which will be open during Poblenou Open Day, there will be an exhibition of paintings and works by three artists: Clara Rival, María Cuéllar, and Isabel Rabassa.
Ciutat de Granada, 62
Hilton Diagonal Mar will host the work of Rockaxson with his project PAPER & PASTE, urban photography, Barcelona 2024. This project arises as a response to the search for and documentation of Barcelona’s street art scene. It portrays urban artists intervening in the city of Barcelona. Through this photographic project, he aims to combine street photography and urban art photography in a single shot, capturing the emotions evoked by art coexisting with everyday moments lived on the street.
Passeig del Taulat, 262–264
Cacho will host an intervention by Muchacha Pinta, a graphic designer and creativity enthusiast. She will delight us with a small tribute to the most beautiful season of the year: spring. Sun-lit terraces, vermouth, and friends are the perfect combination for sharing good moments. The artist wanted to showcase the most creative, surprising, and aesthetic side of the cocktail world.
Llull, 27
Sin Amor No will host the artist Damián Pissarra “Oaky”, who presents “DARK BOX”, a work rooted in the urban transformation that blurs a city’s identity, diluting working-class neighborhoods and forcing their inhabitants into constant displacement. The essence of “DARK BOX” lies in reconnecting with one’s roots—a return to origins fused with the digital era that defines our contemporaneity. This project comes to life through a blend of photographic techniques, ranging from pinhole photography to 35mm format, digital photography, and manual intervention.
Pujades, 127
Desirée Tazelaar presents “Strength”, a mural intended to bring the energy of the tarot archetype into the street. It is an image that evokes the awakening of our anesthetized souls, reconnecting us with the essence of our inner nature. A reflection and a reminder of our inner power, our courage, and the importance of trusting ourselves.
Bilbao, 24
“This window uses cookies” is an illustrated window by Evamik. Inspired by the annoying pop-ups that flood our online experience, the artist satirizes our relationship with digital content. The work invites reflection on how we interact with technology and how our online actions can have significant consequences for our privacy and autonomy.
Pamplona, 47
Ibis STYLES Barcelona City Bogatell will feature an intervention by the artist Daniela Goitia. An illustration connected to her observation of nature and the creation of another possible universe.
