Explore Sònia Toneu’s “Variacions” at Hotel INNSiDE by Meliá Barcelona Apolo

On Friday, March 21, La Plataforma invites you to the opening of Sònia Toneu’s new exhibition, “Variacions”. The project is based on the fusion of digital and pictorial media. Starting from an initial digital image, she explores the concept of sequence across different supports and techniques, creating unique results with each combination.

Through these works, she reflects on the importance of each choice and moment of intervention in the layers that compose them. Using techniques designed for serial reproduction, her interest has focused on finding the uniqueness in each piece, generating connections and coincidences that give each of them its own identity. In this space of infinite possibilities, the dialogue between languages, techniques, and materials inspires new forms of representation and creation.

The exhibition will open this Friday from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM. You’ll have the chance to meet the artist in person and enjoy music with la wallace.

Sònia Toneu (Aiguaviva, 1988) studied the Higher Degree in Visual Arts and Design at Escola Massana in Barcelona and has trained in Art History, Graphic Design, and Digital Art. Her artistic research focuses on abstraction, exploring painting, installation, and digital media to propose alternative realities to those we perceive. Passionate about visual richness and the contrasts offered by pictorial, graphic, and digital tools, she has navigated fluidly between traditional and digital media since the beginning of her career.
