La Nit dels Museus turns Barcelona into a vibrant nighttime cultural showcase.

Poblenou is getting ready to celebrate a new edition of La Nit dels Museus with a program full of art, music, reflection, and immersive experiences. Several venues across the Creative District will open their doors free of charge next Saturday, May 16, from 19:00h to 01:00h offering special activities designed for all audiences.

In Poblenou, the Museu Can Framis will offer free visits to the permanent exhibition “Una col·lecció permanentment canviant,” dedicated to the pictorial legacy of Antoni Vila Casas, as well as the temporary exhibition “Un gran fracàs” by Gonçal Sobrer. The program will also feature “Record,” a performance by Mar Garcia and Javi Soler that combines movement, music, and choreography in a stage investigation into the sonic possibilities of the human body. Music will also take center stage at the Museu de la Música, located at L’Auditori. Visitors will be able to explore temporary exhibitions dedicated to Josep Cercós, the Baschet sound sculptures, and Montserrat Torrent. In the evening, the collectives Veus Lliures and Laboratori de Veus will present “Nit de veus,” a collective vocal improvisation experience directed by Celeste Alías. (More information here)

The Museu del Disseny de Barcelona, known as DHub, will combine its permanent exhibitions with two performances by the group Ual·la!, exploring the relationship between everyday objects, experimental music, and physical theatre through the shows “Música insòlita per a objectes comuns” and “Nozing: cançons des del no-res”. Meanwhile, Museu Terra will focus its program on sustainability and the impact of plastic. Activities will include family workshops on creative reuse, a talk on health, science, and culture related to plastics, and a guided tour of the exhibition “Plàstic. Genial o pervers?”, which reflects on the environmental and social consequences of this material. (More information here)

La Nit dels Museus will once again transform Barcelona into a vast cultural space open to the public until late into the night.
