The Hoxton Poblenou welcomes autumn with new proposals combining culture, music and gastronomy across its different spaces. Throughout October, the hotel adds a new cinema initiative, a new gastronomic offering from Four Corners and a Halloween party inspired by one of the most extravagant celebrations in history.
The big launch comes with La Cava Cinema Club x Filmin, a new initiative that transforms La Cava, The Hoxton’s multifunctional space, into a cinema with 35 mm screenings. The series kicks off on 11 October at 7:30 pm with KNEECAP, directed by Rich Peppiatt, in its original version with subtitles. The film, which is a contender for the International Feature Film Oscar, tells the story of a rebellious rap trio from Belfast who became one of the voices of hip-hop in the Irish language.
The experience combines cinema and gastronomy, with different packages offering options such as popcorn, drinks and pizza. The idea is to host new screenings every two weeks, turning La Cava into a new meeting point for film lovers.
At Four Corners, October brings a new edition of its Bocata Combo Drop. Combo Drop 04 features a sandwich with aged beef fricandó, moixerons mushrooms and spinach, served in a Montserrat-style baguette. The combo also includes a Born American Pale Ale gluten-free beer and fries. It will be available in limited quantities, every day of the week and throughout the day, in the hotel lobby.
Tope continues its rooftop offering with tacos, aguachile and margaritas, alongside snacks and cocktails overlooking Barcelona. Enjoy a Mexican breakfast from 10 am to 12 pm and Mexican food throughout the day, from 12 pm to 10:30 pm. The rooftop is open without the need for a reservation, although groups of 10 or more can book in advance.
But the main event will take place on 31 October, with The Hoxton Poblenou’s Halloween party. The celebration takes inspiration from the iconic Le Bal Surréaliste, the party organised by the Rothschilds on the outskirts of Paris in 1972, known for its masks, costumes and setting blending elegance with surrealism.
Inspired by this legendary celebration, The Hoxton proposes a night of elegance from the neck down and surrealism from the neck up. The party will start at 8 pm and will include a cocktail-style dinner, a free bar serving beer, wine and soft drinks, and music from DJ sets by Rub Coronado and Soffmm. Tickets are already on sale.
