From its studio and workshop in Poblenou, Weplight designs and manufactures lighting fixtures by combining natural materials, artisanal techniques and innovation. Born in Buenos Aires, with international distribution and local production in Barcelona, the brand understands light as something that goes beyond simply illuminating: it also defines, adds expression and has the potential to transform spaces.
Each piece emerges from a dialogue between design, light and material, seeking to bring identity, warmth and character to interiors. Material is the starting point of its process: the brand works primarily with flexible and reconstituted wood veneer, allowing it to explore curved and organic forms, combined with natural felt for its acoustic lighting collection. The combination of these materials opens up new aesthetic and functional possibilities, while also bringing acoustic comfort to spaces.
Craftsmanship and conscious design are at the heart of its creative approach. Handcrafted techniques coexist with innovation and technology in a process that also pays particular attention to forms and finishes. This combination preserves the value of handmade production without giving up the technical possibilities offered by design. In addition, the lighting fixtures can be customised through different wood finishes and colours to adapt to the identity of each project.
The collection includes pendant, table, floor and wall lamps, and continues to grow with new typologies and formats. Among them are its new portable lighting fixtures, which explore new ways of bringing light to different spaces and uses.
During AR-DE, Weplight will present this new collection, a reinterpretation of some of its most iconic designs, bringing light to new places. The new pieces combine design, functionality, natural materials and customisation possibilities, while also offering an opportunity to discover the process behind each lighting fixture.
The proposal will include a special opening of the workshop, offering visitors the chance to discover up close how design and craftsmanship come together to shape each piece, as well as a gathering accompanied by music and an aperitif to explore and enjoy the collection.
