Museu Can Framis

The Museum of contemporary Catalan painting is part of the Fundació Vila Casas and, in addition to its permanent exhibitions, which include around 300 works, it hosts periodic temporary exhibitions of various artists born or living in Catalonia.

For this itinerant circuit, the Museu Can Framis proposes to immerse us on the one hand with the permanent exhibition “Monóleg, Diàleg i Concepte”, a new look at the painting collections of the Fundació Vila Casas. Through a wide and heterogeneous selection, it brings together outstanding examples of Catalan painting from the mid-20th century to the present day, with works by such outstanding artists as Antoni Clavé, Amèlia Riera, Niebla, Vilató, Jo Milne, Jordi Fulla, Mar Arza, Mario Pasqualotto and Sabine Finkenauer.

On the other hand, the Museum presents “Ella, una i altra vegada” by Eugènia Balcells. Throughout the exhibition, the female archetypes – including and excluding each other – draw a vocabulary of their own from which to rethink the human relationships in which we move today.

In addition, a guided visit with the artist Eugènia Balcells and the curator Lali Bosch is scheduled for 15 October at 12 noon at the Can Framis temporary exhibition. It is necessary to sign up through a form on the website. It is as follows.

Timetable:
