The Folio Club

The Folio Club introduces the designer Javier Mariscal (Valencia, 1950) along with some of his hand-illustrated ceramic pieces with strokes that exude Mediterranean air, with palm trees, arabesque patterns, birds, fruit and flowers. Fresh and original, the collection aims to fill the table with joy. As Mariscal says “I hope this piece accompanies you in your day to day life and makes you happy”. Javier Mariscal’s approach to ceramics dates back to the 1980s when he was commissioned by Japan to create his first collection of a tea set. He also had a very iconic collaboration for Bidasoa, such as the Olé vase, today a design classic. The exhibition depicts his passion for drawing everything that surrounds us. Tireless when it comes to sketching any situation and in love with the poetry of everyday life. You can also see illustrations of vegetables, dead nature paintings that will make you fall in love, thinking of the morning light, celebrating the pleasure of eating well and enjoying the day to day.
