Two midwives accompany a young pregnant woman to a cabin deep in the mountains. The young woman wants her child to be born in the heart of nature. The midwives tell her stories about the region’s past. The young woman hopes the benevolent spirits that inhabit the nearby pool will bring good fortune to her future child. But the past and present of the three women will lead them to experience far more unsettling events.
Jordi Casanovas, 2022 National Culture Award winner, returns to Sala Beckett with a story where mystery and horror go hand in hand, blurring the line between reality and superstition.
