Concert: Hipnotic Brass Ensemble

HYPNOTIC BRASS ENSEMBLE is a project made up of the seven children of the great Phil Cohran, founder of “Sun Ra Arkestra” and “Earth, Wind & Fire”. It is obvious to indicate who has been his greatest influence. Added to this almost connatural artistic background are his own experiences and concerns, ranging from the sound of the New Orleans big-bands, through funk, Afrobeat, and some of the aggressiveness of hip-hop in his rhythm section. It was in 2005, with the sales success of his second album, Jupiter, that his international projection began.
