The German electronic music duo Digitalism celebrates 20 years of career in 2024. A special milestone that coincides with the “Idealism Live” tour, which will bring them to Madrid (December 3 at But), Barcelona (December 4 at Razzmatazz 2), and Murcia (December 5 at Mamba!).
Digitalism was founded in 2004 in Hamburg and consists of Ismail “Isi” Tüfekçi and Jens “Jence” Moelle. Their discography, characterized by music that is simultaneously fun and imaginative, serious and ecstatic, includes four LPs: “Idealism” (2007, reissued as “Idealism Forever (Anniversary Edition)” in April this year and the formal excuse for their tour), “I Love You Dude” (2011), “Mirage” (2016), and “JPEG” (2019, reissued as “JPEG_complete” in 2021). They have also produced numerous remixes for artists like Daft Punk, Tiga, Klaxons, The White Stripes, Depeche Mode, Cut Copy, The Presets, Tom Vek, and The Futureheads, among others. Not to mention their EPs, the latest being “Back To Haus” (2023), where they pay tribute to house music, a genre that has been a staple for them since the beginning.
