Exhibition dedicated to the jeweller Enric Majoral.
Born in Sabadell in 1949, Enric Majoral is one of the key names in contemporary Catalan jewellery. The jeweller’s close relationship with Formentera has marked his creations, which he himself defines as “essence of Formentera”. Mayoral has delved into the world of traditional crafts, drawing inspiration from archaic forms and using the quintessential jewellery materials, gold and silver, full of symbolism and multiple meanings. A member of the FAD, he was president of Orfebres FAD from 1992 to 1997. In 2007 he received the National Crafts Prize from the Ministry of Industry.
The exhibition is organised by the Museu del Disseny in collaboration with the A-FAD.
