This holiday season, the Disseny Hub (DHub) presents a wide programme of exhibitions, showcases, and activities designed for all audiences.
Visitors can explore “Objectes comuns. Històries locals, debats globals”, a journey through objects that form part of the collective memory, as well as “Matter Matters. Dissenyar amb el món”, a reflection on the current and future challenges of design.
Fashion also plays a key role with “El cos vestit. Siluetes i moda (1550–2015)”, which traces the evolution of clothing through the centuries, and “Dissenyes o treballes? La nova comunicació visual (1980–2003)”, dedicated to the effervescence of graphic design during a period of major transformation.
Visitors can enjoy “Colita. Antifémina”, a tribute to the first feminist photobook published in 1977, on view until 25 January 2026 and requiring advance booking.
From 7 November to 25 January 2026, the programme will also include “Art (D)éco. El disseny, mirall de les Arts Decoratives”, organised by FAD and DHub, which revisits Barcelona’s participation in the 1925 International Exhibition of Decorative Arts in Paris.
Among the highlighted showcases, the DHub presents “The Value of Water”, a free exhibition that invites reflection on sustainability and the management of this essential resource, open until 11 January 2026, with free guided tours (booking required).
The FAD Architecture and Interior Design Awards 2025, recognising the most outstanding architectural projects from Spain and Portugal, will be on display from 7 November to 25 January 2026.
Visitors can also explore “Inspired in Barcelona: Luce”, a free showcase featuring over 100 lighting pieces from the best contemporary Catalan design, available until 8 February 2026.
The DHub complements its programme with various special activities. From 12 to 14 December, it hosts Disseny Market Barcelona, the landmark Christmas fair organised by FAD, with a €3 entry fee and a curated selection of local designers, artists, and makers.
For families, every Sunday at 11:30 a.m. (except 28 December) the centre offers “Design in Your Pocket”, an activity that combines a guided visit with a hands-on workshop where children can create their own personalised pocket. The price is €3 per person, and booking is recommended.
Finally, the centre offers guided tours of the Casa Bloc Apartment-Museum, an emblematic rationalist building in the Sant Andreu district. Tours take place on Saturdays at 11 a.m. and include the photographic installation Campo/Contracampo by Manolo Laguillo, available until December.
Opening hours are Tuesday to Sunday, from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., with special closing at 3:30 p.m. on 24 and 31 December. The museum will be closed on 25 December and 1 January.
