Celebrate with us the tenth anniversary of Poblenou Urban District and Atim with Urban Block Party

Within the programme of Poblenou Open Night, on the next November 25th, you can’t miss the Urban Block Party at calle Zamora, to celebrate with us the tenth anniversary of Poblenou Urban District and of Atim with live music and a lighting installation by Protopixel. 

Nothing is more powerful that transforming the street, the stage of our daily life, into a space for fun, sharing, laughing, dancing and living.

When entering the space you’ll be dazzled by a lighting installation by  Protopixel, a professional lighting design platform, that will welcome us to the event with a spectacular entrance porch.

For this occasion, the musical proposal expecting you will be a journey through black music history, starting with the ancestral reggae, ska and Jaiman calypso, passing by hip-hop, to end up in Disco from the end of the 70’s and the birth of House and electronic music that marked the end of the 20th century and the beginnings of the 21st.

Three generations of DJ’s from the city that encompass the catalan capital club scene for more than 30 years:

Javier Verdes: founder of the mythic shop Verdes Records, pioneer in the sale of electronic music vinyls and an inspirational source in the DJ landscape for over 20 years.

Sama Yax: hyperactive DJ that has been present in a multitude of events and festivals, resident at the mythical barcelonian club Nitsa and part of the Discos Paradiso family.

Dadame: responsible for the House en el Parque parties and for the BAAANG promoter, a connoisseur of House and Disco with a festive vision of the dancefloor like few around Barcelona.

Dubby Aniol: He shook the cabins of various clubs in the city during the 2000’s and is a collector of Jamaican rhythms and a lover of Soundsystem culture.

The Gastronomy:

Deligotessen will be in charge of the food with its mexican gastronomy proposal: cochinita pibil, fully loaded nachos, kimchi quesadillas, and other delicacies.
