Discover AR-DE’s programming

Poblenou Urban District invites you to discover the programming of the first edition of AR-DE, a circuit of galeries, showrooms and museums with the objective to promote art and design of Barcelona’s Creative District.

With the involvement of 11 entities and spaces of the Creative Community of Barcelona, ​​Poblenou Urban District has organized this itinerant circuit to discover, during the 10th, 11th and 12th of December, different activities and proposals distributed between museums, art galleries, showrooms and design studios.

Disseny Hub Barcelona

For this first edition of AR-DE, Disseny Hub Barcelona invites you to visit both its temporary and permanent exhibitions. Within the temporary exhibitions, you’ll find “BANKSY. The Art of Protest”, a large international exhibition organized by Sold Out, which has received more than a million visits on its world tour. Also, we recommend checking out “The making of making (architecture)” where the design processes of the studio founded by Josep Miàs in 2000 is analyzed, or the exhibition “60 anys d’ADG-FAD”, an international showing with more than eighty designers commemorating the 60th anniversary of their association. And of course, you can visit the permanent exhibitions.

La Plataforma

La Plataforma opens its doors to inaugurate the eleventh edition of Arte & Venta, offering a unique opportunity to meet the contemporary artists represented by the gallery and the new emerging art proposals.

In this group exhibition, the gallery is transformed into a Concept Store presenting the work of a score of artists and inviting publishers and designers to showcase their most recent work.

Within the sample you will find unique pieces of painting, screen printing, photography and illustration and a selection of books on art, graphic design, photography and illustrated stories.

BD Barcelona

BD Barcelona, a pioneer in terms of design, will present us the novelties of 2021 with the new furniture collections designed by Jaime Hayon and Konstantin Grcic. You will be able to discover the “Explorer” collection by Spanish artist and designer Jaime Hayón, as well as the novelties of the “Table B” collection, by German designer Konstantin Grcic, one of the most influential designers in the sector.

Museu Can Framis

The Museu Can Framis will offer a reduced entry (€2) in the space throughout the day, as well as an exclusive guided visit to the exhibition “Monstres” by Joan Fontcuberta by the artist himself. The price of the guided tour will be € 7 or € 4 if the visitor has any of the reductions accepted by the Museum.

Galería Chez Xefo

For this first edition of AR-DE, the Chez Xefo gallery will present “De Sombras”, an exhibition with collages by Silvia Japkin and photographs by Xavier Garcia. You will also be able to enjoy the film “CAMÍ D’ÀRREU” by Aleix Gallardet that will be screened in continuous session at 6:30 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. on 10, 11 and 12.

The Folio Club

At The Folio Club, the ninth anniversary of 180 Hilos, an online art gallery, will be celebrated with an exhibition and sale of a selection of their work published in 2021, as well as discounts on special pieces.

Haba Gallery

Haba Gallery, an initiative of Utopía126 and an art gallery with a privileged approach to Cuban art, will present an exhibition of Cuban Photography, and Contemporary Art Conversations will be held with resident Cuban artists.

L&B Gallery

L&B Gallery, gallery dedicated to contemporary art, presents us a collective exhibition of the gallery’s artists: HOT (Here Our Team), a proposal that revolves around resuming interaction with our environment and with our senses, opening up to the seduction, but also everything that society and the world raises and questions: global warming and the claims around gender or minority violence. The artists: Joan Ill, Anna Ill, Sito Mújica, Xavi Muñoz, Vanessa Pey, Katia Guiliani, Laura Marte, Joaquin Jara, Manel de Aguas.

Noak Room

Noak Room, Noak Room, a showroom with furniture and decoration objects of exclusively Scandinavian design and origin, presents “Dreams” by Álvaro Valdecantos. From the intangible to the material, making the subconscious visible through intuition. An exhibition that transits between automatic writing through the camera and the interpretation of dreams with photographs.

Piramidón. Centre d’Art Contemporani

The Piramidón Contemporary Art Center will present “Col·lectiva_n3”, an exhibition with works by the gallery’s resident artists. On Saturday, from 11:00 to 14:00, a vermouth will be organized on the terrace of the center.

UNUSUAL* Concept Store & Gallery will have an exhibition of design objects in the concept store part, and an exhibition of the photographer Cassini Bassols in the gallery.
