This Saturday, May 30th, from 11 am to 2 pm, Piramidón, Centre d’Art Contemporani celebrates its classic vermouth event with the opening of the new exhibition by Italian artist Iacopo Pinelli: “Espai contaminat” (Contaminated Space).
In “Espai contaminat”, Pinelli transforms small traces of his surroundings —seeds, insect remains, dust, or architectural fragments— into sculptures and installations that explore the relationship between nature, memory, and space. His pieces show how natural processes silently seep into architecture and daily life, making visible elements that often go unnoticed. The exhibition can be visited from May 30th to September 15th.
The works featured in the exhibition are the result of his residency at Piramidón, Centre d’Art Contemporani, stemming from the Acquisition and Residency Prize awarded at the By Invitation Barcelona 2025 art fair. A collection with local ties (yet universal intent) presented within the framework of Art Nou 2026.
The Saturday, May 30th at 1 pm: Guided tour of the exhibition led by Ricard Casals.
