The finalists of the Premis Pintura 2022

Since 1998, the Fundació Vila Casas has been working to promote contemporary artists and share their work through the Premis Fundació Vila Casas. Each year they are dedicated, on a rotating basis, to the disciplines of painting, sculpture and photography, and this 2022 is the turn of the Premi de Pintura.

After having opened the call for artists to participate last March, the jury― formed by Gisela Chillida, Natàlia Chocarro, Marc Domènech, Conxita Oliver, Antonio Sagnier, Àlex Susanna and Antoni Vila Casas― has selected thirty finalists’ works that will be on display in an exhibition at the Museu Can Framis in Barcelona between July 5 and September 18.

The thirty finalist artists are: Eladio Aguilera, Alejandra Atarés, Rafael G. Bianchi, Sara Bonache, Jose Bonell, Bernat Daviu, Gonzalo Elvira, Miquel Garcia, Elena Kervinen, Gala Knörr, Lola Lasurt, Pere Llobera, Francesca Llopis, Justine Lotus, Ariadna Mangrané, Irma Marco, Maria Mercader, Muma, Narotzky, José Luis Pascual, Jorge R. Pombo, Ignasi Prat Altimira, Francesc Ruiz Abad, Bea Sarrias, Manolo Sierra, Joan Soler, Ramon Surinyac, Guim Tió Zarraluki, Jordi Torrent and Clara Vidal.

The jury will read the verdict and the prize will be awarded to the winning work on the same day of the opening of the exhibition, Monday July 4 at 7 pm.
