Poblenou gets ready for AR-DE, the art and design circuit taking place this October

On October 23, 24 and 25, the eighth edition of AR-DE will take place. The circuit connects and showcases the programmes of galleries, showrooms, museums and spaces that are part of Barcelona’s Creative District.

Conceived in 2021 by Poblenou Urban District, AR-DE has established itself as a prominent event on Barcelona’s cultural calendar. Over the course of its seven editions, it has brought together more than twenty-five spaces, including galleries, museums, foundations, studios, showrooms and concept stores, offering a programme dedicated to art, design and contemporary creativity.

AR-DE provides a platform for the work of gallerists, curators, artists and designers, showcasing both emerging talent and established national and international figures. The circuit thus becomes a meeting point for industry professionals and an audience interested in culture, creativity and innovation.

In the latest edition of AR-DE, participating venues included leading institutions such as Disseny Hub Barcelona, Museu Can Framis – Fundació Vila Casas and Fundació Carulla – Museu Terra, alongside contemporary art galleries and centres such as Piramidón, La Plataforma Art Gallery, HAUS and Load Gallery. The combination of established cultural institutions with galleries and contemporary art projects reflects the diversity and scope of AR-DE within Barcelona’s creative scene.

Additionally, on Saturday, October 24, Disseny Hub Barcelona will host the eighth edition of Urban Talks, a series of talks that aims to create a space for discussion around culture and creativity and their relationship with the urban environment.
