aparto Residences and CCCB Join Forces for the Amazonias Exhibition

A cultural collaboration connects aparto students with Barcelona’s artistic scene and Amazonian cultural heritage.

In an effort to connect the academic lives of its resident students with Barcelona’s vibrant cultural offerings, aparto has partnered with the Centre de Cultura Contemporània de Barcelona (CCCB). This collaboration is centered around the exhibition “Amazonias, the Ancestral Future,” which will open on November 12, 2024. The alliance seeks to enrich students’ experiences, offering them a unique opportunity to deeply explore the cultural and artistic context of their new home.

The primary goal of this collaboration is to encourage aparto students, newly arrived in the city, to actively engage with Barcelona’s cultural scene. Through exclusive tickets and guided tours, they will have access to an immersive experience in the exhibition, promoting a more enriched and connected academic and cultural journey within the city.

In the same way, aparto will bring culture to the Poblenou neighborhood. The student residence aparto Cristóbal de Moura, located in the 22@ district, will host
external collaborators of the exhibition, as well as artists and professionals involved in the project, who will take advantage of their stay in Barcelona to deepen their knowledge through courses and workshops. This makes the residency a space for exchange between students and professionals who share a passion for culture and learning.

The exhibition “Amazonias, the Ancestral Future” will run until May 4, 2025, exploring the rich cultural and natural heritage of the Amazon region, from its rivers and cities to its ecological challenges. Through a sensory journey, visitors will be able to connect with the Amazon’s impact and current threats, such as deforestation and climate change, highlighting its importance for the planet’s future.

This joint project between aparto and the CCCB goes beyond merely offering cultural events. For students, it represents an opportunity to deeply connect their academic lives with Barcelona’s artistic and cultural heritage. This integration creates a positive impact in building an active cultural community, enhancing both learning and social interaction.
